Osmium stars are the geometric counterpart of diamonds. Stars are squares with concave inward curves on the outside. Stars are flat and can be set well. In sunlight, they reflect certain frequencies of light that make them sparkle more beautifully than diamonds. They are set in jewellery instead of diamonds and can be processed very well because, unlike diamonds, they have a favourable shape for the jeweller.
The special size of the 8 mm stars is very well suited to be set in eye-catching jewelry.
They are also very easy to transport and have a very high value density. Their size in the name refers to the diameter of the counterpart of an 8 mm osmium diamond.
